Regional Missions

  • UMCOR Disaster Relief Warehouse

The Disaster Relief Warehouse, located in Decatur, AL, serves as a shipping and receiving center for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to ship aid to persons around the globe when disaster strikes. Several times a year, teams from PCFUMC help pack and verify Health Kits, Infant Kits and whatever else is needed to respond to disasters near and far, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods.

  • East Lake Farmer's Market

Boxes of assorted fresh produce are delivered to low-income senior apartments during the summer at no cost to the residents. This ministry is hosted by East Lake UMC. Each summer, we spend a Saturday assisting them in sorting and delivering produce.

  • Society of St. Andrew

The Society of St. Andrew is a national nonprofit hunger-relief ministry that rescues 30-35 million pounds of fresh, nutritious, excess produce each year that would otherwise go to waste for various reasons. This food is then distributed to feeding agencies across the country at no cost to the agencies or the hungry people they serve. At Pell City First United Methodist, we collect our pocket change in donation boxes for this ongoing ministry.
